Presentation Title: Deploying Exadata Cloud Machine - What's it Really Like?
Speaker: Mr Andy Colvin ACE
Company: Accenture Enkitec Group
Presentation abstract: Nearly every conversation with Oracle surrounding hardware includes a required discussion about “cloud.” This session will tell the story of a customer that took Oracle’s messaging to heart and decided to replace their existing Exadata X2-2 with an Exadata Cloud Machine (on premises). Discussion topics will include:

-Key differences between standalone Exadata and Exadata Cloud Machine

-The customer was used to controlling every bit of software and hardware - how did things mesh with Oracle managing the hardware?

-What did the migration look like?

-How has the system performed after going live?

-If given the choice, would they keep the cloud machine, or go a different direction?
